Police must concentrate on fighting crime

Evening Express (Extra Edition) - - READERS' LETTERS -

THE annual report from Grampian Police shows how much work is needed to fight crime in the North-east.

While the drop in antisocial crime is good, it is a bit more worrying to see violent crimes and crimes of a sexual nature on the increase.

Like many people, I believe Grampian Police do a good job. We are always reading about the latest crime crackdown or initiative and it s e e ms the police are working hard to listen to folk.

For that reason, I hope Grampian Police isn’t dissolved or merged with a bigger force.

Our bobbies need to concentrate on beating the criminals, not going through the upheaval of administrative change.

Keep the focus on keeping us safe, not making dubious changes.
