Are we on the right route for by­pass?

FOUR years and £531 mil­lion later and Glas­gow has an­other sec­tion of mo­tor­way, pic­tured. I can’t ex­actly re­mem­ber when the Aberdeen by­pass was ini­tially spo­ken about but our roads still re­main grid­locked in and around the city. So is there a West Coast bias? Surely not. Come on Alex Sal­mond, this is why we voted you in.

– GS putting Greyfri­ars Church up for sale again. Let’s hope that a buyer can be found for this won­der­ful build­ing and that it can be re­stored to its for­mer glory. Marischal Col­lege is now look­ing so good, let’s make its neigh­bour sparkle too – hope­fully with­out fur­ther wran­gling

– AMcW IT WAS so pleas­ing to see lo­cal quine An­nie Len­nox re­ceive her OBE from the Queen at Buck­ing­ham Palace. Not only has An­nie made some great mu­sic and sold more than 80 mil­lion al­bums in a glit­ter­ing ca­reer span­ning decades, she has also cam­paigned to fight poverty and Aids in Africa. It is so good to see some­one from our area get such recog­ni­tion for do­ing so much good. Thanks An­nie, your work is a source of pride for the North-east.
