Appeal for younger volunteers
YOUNG men from the North-east are being urged to sign up and help in the fight to beat leukaemia.
Aberdeen South MP Anne Begg is urging men aged 18 to 30 to sign up to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register.
The charity finds donors of bon marrow to help people suffering from blood cancer.
There is a shortage of young male donors who, despite making up just 19% of the register account for 80% of donations.
The Labour MP said: “I am supporting Anthony Nolan in recruiting more donors as this worthy cause can save lives.”
