Well done to Scouts for overseas work

Evening Express (Extra Edition) - - READERS' LETTERS -

AS A former Scout I couldn’t help but smile when I read about the various overseas trips that young North-east Scouts have been making (EE, July 28). To travel to Malawi is a wonderful opportunity, one that I wish I’d had a younger age. It must have been really eyeopening, but I am proud to see they worked hard too to create a new toilet block and water tank. Well done to them.

– A Pollock I REALLY hope the third Don crossing isn’t delayed for too long. I understand residents have concerns and that the route might have to change, but this city really needs all the help it can get to keep traffic moving. It seems the AWPR could still be some time away, IT’S FANTASTIC that a film might be made about Wattie McDonald and his passion – husky racing. The story of the gruelling challenges he and his dogs have undertaken, in freezing temperatures and across barren terrain, would make for fascinating viewing.
