Thor has always been the most phwoar of the supers (the Marvel comics kind, not Kate and Naomi), stomping around, wielding his mighty hammer and having a hell of a time with that Tom Hiddleston. Yes, we have thus far based all of our Thunder god knowledge on Avengers Assemble, in which the Norse deity turned saviour of the world is played by sex-on-legs Chris Hemsworth (below: and no, that was his brother who almost married Miley Cyrus). Of course, way before this incarnatio­n was the actual 11th-century son of Odin, relentless slaughtere­r of foes, battler of serpents and the man we can thank for our favourite day of the week — Thursday.
