Kitchen Table chef James Knappett may have two Michelin stars, but he still loves a bucket
I’ve loved KFC since I was a kid. As a treat we’d get a bucket and sit on the heath in Newmarket, where I’m from, to watch the horses train. Today, the Zinger Stacker burger is my regular order and it’s hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It’s perfect: two burgers with cheese, hot sauce, sandwiched in a soft bun. Everyone thinks fine dining chefs don’t eat like this, but we like the contrast to what we’ve been cooking all day.
