AFTER DARK
C’mon party ponies, clip clop… Time for one more trot around the paddock before After Dark takes a summer sojourn. Ending the season on a high with a party thrown to celebrate last week’s cover star, Kate Moss, and her appointment as creative director for Diet Coke. Only Kate could get every gay and gal in London mobilised and out for a do — you couldn’t move for tits and teeth — and that was just the boys. We’d already commented on how impressed we were that stylist Kyle De’Volle fitted into women’s Fendi runway (Look 32, AW22 by Kim Jones) before he started flicking through Kate’s rail of collection inspiration from her own wardrobe. ‘I’d love to try these,’ he told her. ‘DO IT!’ she replied before helping him strip off mid-party and pull the dress she had made for her 33rd birthday (‘In red, yellow, green, white and black — beautiful buttons — God knows how I got in and out of them,’ she’d told us earlier) over his head. ‘OH. MY. GOD. It fits!!’ Fat Tony boomed from the decks. ‘Babes, there’s still plenty of room in here,’ Kyle shot back. Biisch. Kate the Great… Long may you reign.
