What to Watch/Capital Conversation

Sunday, London Live, from 5pm

A BARMAN in Sydney once described London as “alive” and unlike any other city to this reporter, a characterisation realised in the bigscreen adaptation of Philip Reeve’s futuristic steampunk adventure Mortal Engines.

London is a giant motorised predator that scours a postapocalyptic planet for smaller settlements to strip for resources. Hugo Weaving, Stephen Lang and Ronan Raftery from the film share what London means to them.

In Capital Conversation, Michael Hayman speaks to Martin McCourt, former MD of Dyson, who warns of how unprepared workplaces are for the way tech will alter practices.
