Heathrow’s CEO John HollandKaye has revealed that when his airport was named as the recommended option for another runway, he received an email from none other than Patrick McLaughlin saying “great news, let’s build it”. Much to his disappointment, it was from an engineer who just happened to have a similar name to the Transport Secretary.

If Business Secretary Sajid Javid ever loses his job, he may have a sideline in stand-up.
