Biking jacket to wear anywhere

- DW

FAVOURITE biking accessory of the year? Rokker’s stylish, wear-itanywhere, never-take-it-off Black Jakket.

Resembling an upmarket close-fitting denim jacket of the type we used to wear when out riding but don’t any more — because they are actually not great if you tumble off the bike — it goes way beyond that.

Its outer layer is 100 per cent Schoeller-dynatec, which also features in Rokker’s tough riding jeans — it is supplied by biking wear specialists Motolegends of Guildford.

So, it is not only wind and water repellent and highly abrasionresistant, but it also makes it perfect for blatting in and around London without overheating.

The best thing about this jacket is that you will want to wear it when you are not on the bike, too, thanks to its flattering shape, nice feel, general style and high levels of breathability.

When you are on the bike, “Coldblack-finishing” reflects the heat, as I found while crisscrossing London on BMW’s R1200 RS Sport for an entire day while researching a fun sightseeing riding route.

This £429 jacket also boasts “NanoSphere” tech to increase dirt and water-repellency.

Other bonuses are removable D30 shoulder/elbow/back protectors and a waterproof zip, shielded by a button-down flap.

There is an extra, removable strap to fasten the neck, along with four external and three internal pockets — ideal for storing phones, wallets and stuff.

In town, in reasonable weather, I seldom want to wear another jacket. Find out more about this — and other motorcycle wear in the range — at Motolegends.com
