RADIO 4 HOST’S FOUR-LETTER SLIP TURNS AIRWAVES BLUE

-

A HOST of BBC Radio 4’s Today blundered by pronouncing the surname of Cabinet minister Jeremy Hunt as “C***”.

As Justin Webb, pictured, read out a newspaper story, listeners heard him say: “The paper says that Health Secretary Jeremy C*** … Hunt is understood to favour a cap on social care.”

He later claimed he had “swerved” away from the full word.

Former host James Naughtie made the same error in 2010.
