An output issue at refurbished BBC

-

THE BBC’s W1A headquarters, fresh from a refurb which cost £1 billion, has a sewage issue, according to staff. A foul drains smell is said to be inching across the floor of Broadcasting House, moving from ‘makeup’ into the newsroom. The hot weather doesn’t help.

Earlier this month presenter Jane Garvey saw “a fat mouse strolling around the BBC Woman’s Hour office”. She said, “I mean they’re not even lean, hungry, scavenger mice. They’re plump.” Pestilences, miasmas — whatever next at the BBC?
