‘I once threw my guitar at our drummer’

-

MUSICIAN-slash-model Rafferty Law (aka Raff ) has a little magic about him — and it’s not just thanks to father Jude Law. His new band, Outer Stella Overdrive, sound great (Damon Albarn’s son Rudy is on drums). The singer, 22, has also modelled for Dolce & Gabbana to Timberland. Here’s listening to you, kid.

Your guitar hero?

Joe Strummer. He had an organic voice which he didn’t push too far.

Strangest stage moment?

In my old band our drummer got on my nerves by drinking too much and being late. Before a show I could see he wasn’t concentrating, so I threw my guitar at him. It knocked him out.

Where would you take E.T. on his first day on Earth?

The Box in Soho. That’s the closest to outer space that there is in London.

If your house was falling into a sinkhole, what would you save?

My baby kittens, Sid and Nancy. I feel like a worried parent when I go out.

McDonald’s or The Ivy?

The Ivy. I could eat a hundred of the truffle arancini balls in the Soho Brasserie every day.

An unlikely crush?

Brad Pitt in Fight Club. I copied his mismatch of colourful shirts and tracksuits for months after I first watched it at 13.

A home truth?

I’m at that age when the father-son element has gone with my dad. He’s more like a mate now.

The most supernatural thing that’s happened to you?

The house in France we stayed in when I was younger was haunted. Doors would swing open and swing shut again. We never went back.

You’re a wizard, Raff. What do you do?

I’d apparate to a beach in Mexico and chill out, magicking up cocktails for free.
