Rocker Lloyd: Album cover was Billie’s bump-er idea
A PHOTO of Johnny Lloyd with girlfriend Billie Piper weeks before she gave birth to their daughter Tallulah is to grace the front cover of his debut album.
Former Doctor Who actress Piper gave birth last month, and the couple have been dating for more than two years. The artwork was taken when she was eight months pregnant and shows them relaxing on the bed of their London home.
Lloyd, former frontman of Camden rockers Tribes, has released two solo EPs, and the image of himself and Piper, 36, will feature on Next Episode Starts In 15 Seconds, due for release in May.
He told A-List: “I was about to leave the house to go and shoot the album cover. We needed to find a location somewhere very last minute and no doubt would have come up with a terrible, terrible idea.
“Billie and I had been sat in bed chatting and it just came up. She said, ‘This would be a great album cover.’ We got the shot within about 10 minutes.”
Piper is also mother to Winston, nine, and Eugene, six, from her marriage to Laurence Fox. Lloyd said he worked well with her. “Billie has a real musical ear — she is really musically inspiring to work with. She is incredibly talented and makes me want to be a better artist.”
Lloyd said he had put his former rock and roll lifestyle behind him and was now sober for the sake of his new family.
