Feeble cover story

A LIVELY debate on Twitter last night as people tried to spot the difference between Ben Lindsay’s upcoming book We Need to Talk About Race and Reni Eddo-Lodge’s bestselling 2017 work Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race.

The cover of Lindsay’s book, published by SPCK, is extraordinarily similar to Renno-Lodge’s — from the monochrome dustjacket to the graphic font.

Eddo-Lodge told The Bookseller the design was “disappointingly derivative”, though SPCK defended it, saying: “Lindsay’s book is bringing something new to this conversation.”
