RAPIST WHO DECAPITATED VICTIM AVOIDS DEATH PENALTY

A MAN has avoided the death penalty for raping and decapitating 26-yearold Chinese scholar Zhang Yingying, after kidnapping her from the University of Illinois. Brendt Christensen, 30, was found guilty last month. He was jailed for life yesterday after the jury failed to agree on the death penalty.
