Jansson urges Maupay to stay

-

PONTUS JANSSON wants Neal Maupay to stay at Brentford and help fire the club to the Premier League, writes Simon Collings.

Striker Maupay returned to training this week after leaving the club’s pre-season tour to clear his head amid interest from Brighton, Aston Villa and Sheffield United.

Jansson, who joined Brentford from Leeds for around £5.5million this summer, said: “I’d be really happy if he stays. He is one of the best attackers in the Championship.

“There is something buzzing around the club. When Brentford have a good day, they can beat anyone.”
