Knife suspect headbutted by off-duty Pc

A SUSPECTED knifeman was headbutted on a packed train by an off-duty police officer.

Mobile footage shows the 29-yearold falling to the floor when struck by the Met officer on a c2c service in east London at 3.35pm yesterday. The suspect was arrested at Upminster station, on suspicion of carrying a knife and theft by finding.

British Transport Police said it had received a report of a man “fighting and making violent threats”. The Met said the incident was believed to have lasted more than 20 minutes.
