JENNIFER ARCURI’S admission that she and Boris Johnson were close friends goes to the heart of a City Hall investigat­ion into his conduct as mayor, he was warned today.

The Greater London Authority’s oversight committee has asked the Prime Minister if his personal relationsh­ip with the US businesswo­man was disclosed — with a deadline of tomorrow for him to respond.

Ms Arcuri today described Mr Johnson, whom she said she met in 2011, as a “really good friend”. Asked if she loved him, she said: “I have been asked that many times. I care about him deeply as a friend. We do share a very close bond.”
