JENNIFER ARCURI’S admission that she and Boris Johnson were close friends goes to the heart of a City Hall investigation into his conduct as mayor, he was warned today.
The Greater London Authority’s oversight committee has asked the Prime Minister if his personal relationship with the US businesswoman was disclosed — with a deadline of tomorrow for him to respond.
Ms Arcuri today described Mr Johnson, whom she said she met in 2011, as a “really good friend”. Asked if she loved him, she said: “I have been asked that many times. I care about him deeply as a friend. We do share a very close bond.”
