AIR PURIFIERS REDUCE SICK ABSENCE SAY TEACHERS
AIR purifiers improved children’s health in schools and should be used more widely across London, say teachers.
A survey conducted at three schools in Camden by Blueair, which installed purifiers in every classroom for a year, found the majority of teachers noticed a fall in sick absence among pupils.
Good air quality improved children’s learning according to 89 per cent of the teachers.
The schools introduced the air purifiers after a study showed that their classrooms had higher levels of toxic particles than recommended levels.
