LONDON Mayoral hopeful Rory Stewart has doubled down on his “controversial” centrist love for sandwich chain Pret a Manger, which he revealed during a recent interview with Channel 4’s Cathy Newman. When asked what his favourite London pub was he replied: “I’m not a big boozer… I’m the kind of guy who spends his time going to Pret a Manger.”

?? ?? LONDON Film Festival was in full swing yesterday, as US stars Laura Dern and Adam Driver came over for the UK premiere of Marriage Story. Afterwards, director Noah Baumbach attended the afterparty at The May Fair Hotel. Despite its title, the film tells the story of Driver’s character’s divorce from his wife, played by Scarlett Johansson.
Elsewhere, Mark Rylance and Gana Bayarsaikhan went to the premiere of their film of the JM Coetzee book Waiting for the Barbarians, and Shia LaBeouf attended the premiere of Honey Boy, based on his relationship with his father. LaBeouf has recently quashed rumours that he knocked out Tom Hardy while filming 2012 film Lawless. “It’s a bunch of bullsh*t,” he said, but conceded: “We used to wrestle all the time.”
Meanwhile, actor Pippa Bennett-Warner and Aki Omoshaybi attended the premiere of romantic drama Real — which is Star Wars actor Omoshaybi’s first feature as director.
