‘West Ham can’t settle for top 10’

- Giuseppe Muro

RYAN FREDERICKS says

West Ham must not settle for a top-10 finish because their squad are as good as any of the big six clubs.

The Hammers missed the chance to go third when they lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace at home on Saturday.

Fredericks said: “We are a confident bunch and have as good a squad as the top six. That is where we want to be, we have a lot of good players who are way too good to just be happy in the top 10.

“We are a massive club with a massive fanbase and we need to be kicking on now. I think we have the players and the manager to do that.

“We have started well, but Saturday was a big opportunity missed. We know how intense this league is and when you get chances like that, you have to take them.”
