TESCO BRINGING IN EX-TREASURY BOSS KINGMAN FOR BANKING ARM

-

TESCO indicated it remains serious about financial services today when it appointed former Treasury official John Kingman to the board of its banking arm.

Sir John was in charge of rescuing UK banks after the financial crisis and had been tipped as a successor to Bank of England Governor Mark Carney. Tesco has just sold its mortgage business to Lloyds.
