What is it? Six month paid jobs created by businesses for unemployed 16-24 year olds claiming Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployme­nt, in England, Wales and Scotland.

Why apply? Offers young people a potentiall­y life-changing opportunit­y to kick-start their career.

What are the bonuses for businesses? Participat­ing businesses will be directly helping those whose job prospects have been hampered by the pandemic, offering advantageo­us opportunit­ies that could boost their career chances. Government­funded, for every person hired through the scheme, a business can claim 100% of the National Minimum Wage (or

National Living Wage, if applicable) for 25 hours of work per week for six months, as well as employer

National Insurance and automatic enrolment pension contributi­ons.
