Goal bonanza at Beechwood Park

IN a remarkable North League game at Beechwood, Harp came from 4-1 down to earn a point in a 4-4 draw with league leaders, Blairgowri­e.

The Berrypicke­rs looked be heading for three comfortabl­e points but a spirited fightback by Michael Gormley’s side earned them a deserved point.

Mark Kelly netted two penalties for the home side with Sam Hodgson and a trialist also finding the net.

Alan Cruickshan­k got a hat-trick for Blair, two coming from the penalty spot, while Ricky Brown was also on the mark.

East Craigie comfortabl­y beat visitors Lochore 3-1 with Nik Mann netting a double while Lee Maloney was also on target.

North End’s fine run looked like being derailed by struggling Newburgh when the Fifers took a surprise 2-1 lead. But the Dokens rallied and took a 5-2 lead before Newburgh added their third.

Gary Sutherland was again on target for the Dokens with Pat Martin (2),William Johnstone and an own goal making up the home tally.

Scott Finlay, Dylan Duddy and Greg Fairweathe­r were the Newburgh scorers.

Kinnoull beat an understren­gth Forfar Albion 8-0 at Tulloch Park. Rhys Davies got four of the goals with Kieran Donald, Greg Whyte, Mark Smith and Gordon Norrie also on the scoresheet.

Albion keeper Jason King had a number of brilliant saves throughout the game. Luncarty won 6-0 at Brechin Vics. Jamie McKenzie, Jon Kelly, Paddy Deane, Ryan Robb and two trialists counted for the Bleachers.
