THE indoor hockey season is now complete with MJV Dundee Wanderers Ladies finishing second in the European Women’s Club Trophy at Siauliai in Lithuania.

This secures promotion next year for Scotland’s representatives who will once again be Wanderers as they have retained the Scottish Indoor title.

The winner of the event was MSC Sumchanka (Ukraine), who had a 5-1 win over Wanderers, which l eft the Dundonians in limbo as East Grinstead could have claimed second place. They then drew 1-1 against Lille and the Ukranians, who won all their six games, finished with a 5-1 win over Gintra.

Third were East Grinstead, three points behind Wanderers, then Gintra, Ards, Lille and Partille
