Housing service ‘very good’
A COUNCIL housing service has been given a positive report by inspectors.
Dundee City Council’s Home Care — Locality Teams and Housing with Care service was given a “very good” report by the Care Inspectorate.
The service was offering support to 170 people both in their own home and in sheltered housing complexes.
The report states: “Staff in the sheltered housing complexes were receiving regular supervision, which was supplemented by team meetings and direct observations of practice by managers.
“The service was working hard to ensure that people living in the sheltered housing complexes had regular opportunities for social interaction.
“In summary, we found that people who use this service were achieving good outcomes and expressed high levels of satisfaction.”
The report also made recommendations to improve consistency of staff to service users.
