FORAN: I’M LOOKING FOR MORE PASSION

-

INVERNESS manager Richie Foran has demanded more passion and hunger from his players as they attempt to claw their way out of deep relegation trouble.

Foran criticised his players’ after t heir 4-0 defeat by Ross County.

Caley could even be relegated tomorrow if they lose at home to Hamilton and both Motherwell and Dundee win.

But Foran just wants his players to put everything into their lunchtime clash with Accies.

“The full focus i s on winning the game — no talk about anything else,” he said. “I’m looking for more passion, hunger and desire than we showed last Friday.”

Foran accepts there will be criticism of himself but says he and his players must show the resilience needed to bounce back from their Highland derby disappointment.

“You know who to put an arm around and, others, you get in their face and tell them they’re weak,” he said. “That’s how you get reactions.

“I don’t read the papers — I haven’t for a long time, so I don’t know what’s been said about me.

“But when you take a job on like this you expect it. I’m a strong person and will get on with it.

“I’ll tell that to the players. Keep focused on yourself and away from the press. There’s going to be negativity around you but you can change that with one performance.”
