WILLO Flood is adamant Dundee United have nothing to fear from any opposition in the Premiership play-offs — so long as they start taking their chances.
That’s why the midfield powerhouse is approaching the final games of the season with his sights set on winning promotion back to the top flight.
The Irishman knows but for a string of missed opportunities over the past month or so, United would not be in action this week.
If they’d take even a small proportion of them, they’d be spending the next seven days resting, recovering and preparing for a clash with Falkirk or Morton.

That tie will conclude at Tannadice on Friday night and Flood believes with just a little bit better quality in the final third, the Tangerines can be going into that second leg holding an advantage.
“If we can take our chances, we’ll be OK. In the draw on Saturday I know we played some good stuff and we created plenty, we just didn’t take enough and that’s why we only drew the game,” he said.
“That’s frustrating, disappointing even, but it’s been the way things have been going for a while now. The one thing we can’t be about that is feeling sorry for ourselves, because there is too much at stake.
“We have to take the positives from the way we’ve been playing, not just on Saturday but for a while.
“We are unbeaten in six games and, if it’s disappointing we’ve only had two wins and four draws in that run, we have been the better team in every game.
