Mixed results for young teams

-

DUSC Girls 11s took on Forfar Farmington Blue Devils.

Their first goal came from Aimee Dolan i n seven minutes.

During the second half, Forfar had most possession but the Dundee defence didn’t let anything past.

The goals kept coming from Elise Salmond, Callie Bowman, Camryn Carr, Erin Dunlop and Aimee Dolan again.

Player of the Match was Elise Salmond.

DUSC Terrors lost to Forfar Farmington Indians.

Terrors coach Andrew Salmond said: “Although the result was not a win, the girls performance was inspiring.

“We didn’t have a substitute so everyone was shattered at the end of the game. However, they kept going the whole time.

“They should hold their heads high as they were playing girls older and faster and still played their hearts out, giving Forfar a proper game.

“Congratulations to Zosia Rosowski on winning the Player of the Match accolade and Casey Gowans who was our goalscorer.”

DUSC Girls manager Samantha Fyfe said “I was at our 11s game and thoroughly enjoyed watching the girls play.

“They controlled the majority of the game and were a big force on the pitch.

“We weren’t so lucky in Forfar against the Indians.

“However, given we had no substitutions and had to play an extra 10 minutes of game time only confirms how good these girls are.

“A big thanks to all players and coaching staff.”
