Bad matches every week

-

I TAKE it observer doesn’t watch much of Scottish football.

There are games just like Hamilton v Dundee United every weekend — and joining the two Dundee clubs together won’t make any difference.

Regarding changing the rules, let’s play on grass in the summer months instead of joined up plastic doormats in freezing conditions.

Then maybe in 20 years’ time we might be better at it.

ALTHOUGH I’m not a Dundee United supporter, I was saddened to see them stay down in the championship.

However, I see reports that United are to pull out all the stops to provide funds to gain promotion next season.

I only hope their funds can stretch to a pair of trousers for Ray McKinnon.

He is possibly the only manager in senior football in the UK who is glued to denims.

I have nothing against jeans, I wear them myself, but for a professional football manager representing the city, it is a poor image and shows a lack of respect.

Someone have a wee word with him please.

RE Observer’s letter regarding Scottish football, as they said they do not go to football, this means they inadvertently contribute to the standard at which Scottish football stands.

If people don’t pay to go and watch events then these events cannot achieve the higher standards which some people expect.

Regarding the two Dundee teams, why does nobody ever mention amalgamating Rangers with Partick Thistle?

These teams are in the same league as Celtic but are unable to compete either.
