Brawl in bookies captured on film

SHOCKING footage has emerged of a brawl between two men in a Dundee betting shop.

The clip shows the pair raining blows on one another at Coral’s premises in Reform Street.

In t he i ncident, t he men start arguing outside the shop before one of them begins striking the other and forces him backwards into the premises.

The footage shows the two men rolling about on the betting shop floor — knocking over an advertisin­g hoarding during the fracas.

Since the incident took place on Friday, the clip — which lasts for more than 90 seconds — has gone viral, having been viewed more than 40,000 times online.

During the disturbanc­e, two other men can be seen trying to separate the two brawlers before one of the men involved is heard shouting “you’re going nowhere”.

One of the men tries to leave the scene before being followed by the other man.

While being filmed, the man who had been forced back into the shop has visible injuries to his head.

The clip goes on to show the man attempting to flag down an oncoming police van before pointing at the other man involved and suggesting to officers that the attack was unprovoked.

A spokesman for Coral said the incident was “unconnecte­d” to the shop.

He added that the firm would provide any assistance required to the police regarding the incident.

A spokeswoma­n for Police Scotland said no further action was required, despite both men having been detained at the scene of the incident.

She said: “Police Scotland attended at Reform Street, Dundee, at 6.45pm on Friday September 8 after reports of a disturbanc­e.

“All parties were spoken to and no complaints were made. No further police action was required.”

The recent incident comes just a matter of weeks after another video of a disturbanc­e inside McDonald’s in Reform Street also went viral.
