Laszlo wants a different striking option in January

-

“Generally I am happy about the team and how it is working and how they take my ideas but it is just three weeks so there is a long way to go.”

Meanwhile, one position Csaba will have to shore up with what he’s got in the squad is the holding midfield role vacated by the injured Willo Flood.

Flood took a tumble late on in last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Dunfermline and damaged his shoulder, meaning he’ll be out of action for at least three weeks.

Csaba said: “He’s been lucky but unlucky because there’s nothing broken.

“We hope in three weeks maybe he can train again but it really was an unlucky injury.

“I am not happy about it, we don’t have a huge squad but there are other players now who have to jump in and do the job.

“Willo is really a player on and off the field that is a strong personality.

“He came to training this week and showed he is part of the team even if he is injured — and that’s good.

“Everybody is important in the team but in the last three games he’s been really good and has been a leader on the field.

“We can’t panic because we have an important player out and think ‘we are dead’. We are not.

“For this reason we have 24 people in the squad.

“He is an important player and a personality here, he knows the team, he knows everything about Dundee United and this sort of player is not easy to replace but we’ll try.”
