Robinson played in two Uefa Cup campaigns at Dens and featured 218 times for Dundee.

He became a teacher in Kirriemuir and Brechin after his footballin­g career but died in 1996, aged 46.

Eric Sinclair (1974-84)

A Sinclair strike in May 1981 against East Stirling saw Dundee return to the top flight at the first time of asking.

A tall, blond predator, “Sinky” gave his all in dark blue and grabbed 95 goals in his 289 appearance­s for the club.

He was named SPFA First Division Player of the Year in 1980/81 and also picked up a First Division winners medal in 1979 and played in the 1980 League Cup Final as well as grabbing two derby winners in his time at Dens.

George Stewart (1964-76)

Centre-half Stewart’s time at Dens Park saw him play in a European semi-final, 10 domestic semi-finals and two finals — one of which saw him help Dundee beat Celtic to lift the 1973 League Cup, the club’s last major honour.
