POLICE in Dundee are appealing to find the owner of an unusual ring that was found in the city last week.

The item of jewellery was found at Seabraes, off Perth Road, in the West End area of the city last Thursday.

Police said the ring has a unique inscription.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “The ring, possibly a wedding ring, has an inscription within the band.

“If you believe this is your ring — or belongs to someone you know — contact the lost and found department on 101 quoting FP567-1-8 so we can reunite you with your property.”

Police have not provided a full description or included a photo to avoid false claims.
