Pair deny police assault charges
A MAN and a woman accused of assaulting police officers will face trial in April.
Ian Gorthy, 35, of Court Street North, Dundee, denies assaulting four police officers, and resisting arrest by them at Court Street North on January 28.
He also denies behaving in an aggressive manner, shouting, swearing and refusing to desist.
He further denies, at police HQ in Bell Street, failing to provide his details to officers.
Leanne Bertie, 21, of Burnside Walk, denies assaulting two of the officers the same day and at the same place, breaching the peace, shouting and swearing, refusing to desist and uttering threats of violence.
Trial was fixed for April 26 with an intermediate diet on April 5.
