Bankies reach Trident semis
THE DSMFL Trident Trophies Second Division Cup has one semi-finalist confirmed.
Bank St Athletic top Group A after Boars Rock were unable to field a team.
This was despite the Bankies having brought the game forward to accommodate a free week request from Boars Rock.
Fife Thistle B need a draw this weekend against Sidlaw Albion to guarantee they will also feature in the semi-finals while Group B is unlikely to be decided for another few weeks as three sets of fixtures remain to be played.
THE draw for the Memorial Cup will take place at Soccerworld tomorrow at 6pm.
Thirty-two clubs enter a knockout competition with the winners of tie one going into the knockout stages of the Shaun Kelly Memorial Cup.
The l osers will find themselves in the Consolation Cup in memory of George McArthur.
THE league has also already received four applications for membership for season 2018-19 and will take further applications up to the end of February.

The DSMFL pays the first year of new clubs’ SAFA membership which is £70 but expected to rise to £105 at this year’s SAFA AGM.
There are no league entry fees for any club in the DSMFL and, with games being played at either 10am or 10.30am (bar Scottish and North of Tay Cup fixtures), most guys involved are able to be home, at work or off to the senior games by 12.30 which has proven a major incentive for players to join the league.
A FURTHER milestone for the DSMFL is a planned league select game on April 1 (1pm) at North End Park against the Kingdom of Fife league select.

The select management team of Dale Kelly, Alex Ross and Daniel Grossi will take in games and organise trials for selected players.
