WIGHTON IS SET TO SEE MORE ACTION

-

The Dark Blues’ striker is likely to start every game but who will be joining him? battling qualities needed in a dogfight he brings to the side. The question mark lies on the opposite flank where boss Neil has a decision to make between Jon Aurtenetxe and Kevin Holt.

There’s little to separate the pair, with Basque Jon having the edge with his displays of late. It’s a good headache for the Dark Blues to have.

Midfield

Glen Kamara, Paul McGowan and Mark O’Hara have made the three central midfield berths Neil likes to use their own — and it should stay that way.

The trio provide the perfect mix of poise, drive and goals needed in a balanced midfield.

It’s i n wide areas Dundee have struggled to find a consistent performer.

They’ve tried the now-departed Scott Allan there, not to mention forgotten man Randy Wolters and the frustrating figure that is Faissal El Bakhtaoui.

If they can make use of Roarie Deacon and A-Jay Leitch-Smith’s pace and energy they can, along with a potent centre forward, make a frightening prospect for opposition defences.

Attack

Saturday’s brace hero Simon Murray could just be that man.

The Dundee lad is a poacher but also plays well off the shoulder of the last defender. He’s already shown the finishing touch and it will be difficult to displace him up front.
