A RALLYING call has gone out to the Forfar community to come forward to help spruce up a oncepopular attraction.

Forfar Community Council is appealing for volunteers in the hope of getting t he crazy golf course in the Forfar Loch Country Park open again.

It has been closed since the doors shut for the final time at Lochside Leisure Centre last February.

The community council is looking for volunteers to help run the facility, to fundraise for it or to sponsor a hole on the course.

Community councillor Tom O’Brien hopes the nearby pitch and putt course could also be given a new lease of life, and eventually a shop could sell refreshments.

He said: “The community council has cleared up the area in the past, with the help of Angus councillor Ian McLaren.

“We are hoping to get the crazy golf up and running for the first weekend of May, if we can.”
