Are you worried about cancer?
A MOBILE cancer support service is heading to Dundee.
Beryl, the Macmillan Cancer Support bus, will visit t he city on Monday bringing free specialist i nformation and support.
Anyone can drop in for help, whether they have cancer, are worried about a loved one or are concerned about symptoms.
Staffed by health professionals, the Macmillan bus will visit the High Street, by the Caird Hall, between 9am-4pm.
April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month and Macmillan Cancer Support is encouraging people to be aware of t he signs and symptoms of the disease.
The team will be raising awareness of things to look out for.
Staff will also offer specialist cancer information and emotional support, as well as give advice on the signs and symptoms of all cancers.
The aim of the mobile support service is to help people access the information and support they need in their local community, with trained professionals on hand to help.
About 600 people in Scotland are diagnosed with cancer every week and 220,000 people are living with the illness across the country.
Craig Blackwood, radiographer and cancer information and support specialist, said: “A cancer diagnosis is devastating and we know it’s not always easy to know where to go for information or to find someone to talk to.
‘‘That’s why we’re coming to Dundee.’’
