ROUND-UP Forthill cracker likely
Wallace and Cameron can be key men versus Grange
Forfarshire, on the back of a fine win over Watsonians, will be looking to defeat Grange at Forthill.
The Dundee side will be hoping for star man Craig Wallace to fire again along with in-form Scott Cameron.
Grange, on the other hand, will be hoping former Scotland captain Preston Mommsen and Dylan Budge, on the back of a century against Durham for Scotland A during the week, can fire them to victory.
This fixture could be former England test match bowler Ryan Sidebottom’s first in the Eastern Premier League.
Arbroath will be looking to secure back-to-back victories when they head north to Mannofield to play Aberdeenshire.
After a dream debut for Sri Lankan pro Shan Vithanawasam, who took 5-19 and scored 51, they will be looking for more of the same from him.
The home side will be aiming to bounce back from their defeat to Grange. Skipper Chris Venske will be the biggest threat to the Lichties.
Carlton, after the rain got the better of them last week, will be looking to start off their season with a win when they host Watsonians.
’Sonians, who lost to Forfarshire on Saturday, bounced back well on Sunday to win the Murgitroyd 20/20 so will hope they can overcome Carlton to get their first league victory of the season on the board.
Sunday brings the first game of the much anticipated Pro50 Tilney regional series between the Caledonian Highlanders and the Eastern Knights. This is at the Caley home ground of Forthill.
Both teams will be full of international players with Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer playing for Highlanders. The game starts at 11am.
THE second weekend of the Scottish cricket season looks to be a good one with many exciting fixtures.
