Goalie believes Terrors will be ready for Livi tie
winner and set up the semi-final clash with Livi.
And while that left his brother disappointed, Lewis is delighted to still be a United player.
“I got a text off Max after the game. He said I should’ve let one in but I sent him one back saying I’ve got a job to do and that comes first.
“The boys showed a lot of character and, although there isn’t a lot of time to recover before we go again against Livingston, that puts us in a good place.
“It was a case of getting the job done and that’s what they did.
“I don’t see any reason why we can’t do the same again and have a real go at using these play-offs to get this club back where it belongs in the Premiership.”
Lewis revealed Friday’s comeback after a poor first 45 minutes that saw United fall behind to a Declan McManus goal, was inspired by an impromptu team-talk from skipper Willo Flood at the break.
The Irishman dished out a few home truths and let his fellow players know what was expected of them.
“I wasn’t in the dressing-room because I was warming up with the rest of the lads on the bench but apparently Willo gave a few lads a kick up the backside.
“That obviously worked because we came out the second half a different team.
“And if we keep playing like we did after the break on Friday, we have to have a good chance against Livingston.”
