ST JOHNSTONE Women drew 3-3 at home against Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale (EUHV).

The Perth team came from 3-1 down with 12 minutes left.

A great Leah Fleming cross saw Jade McDonald head off the bar before Rebecca McGowan opened the scoring for the home lot.

She turned inside the penalty box and hit a curling strike home.

Six minutes into the second half, EUHV were level when Anna Hume chipped her shot over keeper Rebecca Cameron.

In the 71st and 78th minute, EUHV netted Nos. t wo and three through Beth MacLeod.

Saints rung the changes with Niamh Irvine, Emma Sommerville and Ellie May Cowie coming on, Ellie May making a big impact by scoring.

Saints levelled in the 90th minute.

JEANFIELD Swifts Girls U/15s travelled to Bonnyrigg to tackle Hibernian Girls Academy U/15s i n a National Performance League match and returned with a well merited 2-2 divide.

Swifts pressed early but the Hibs defence soaked up the pressure.

Their speedy striker posed a real threat throughout to the Perth outfit.

The home team took the lead in seven minutes when a ball from midfield found a Hibs player out wide and her shot bobbled past the Swifts keeper.

The rest of the first half swung from one end to the other without either outfit really posing a threat to the scoreline.

As the second half started, Swifts turned to a strong bench of players returning from injury and immediately put pressure on the Hibs defence.

Halfway through the second stanza, Swifts levelled with a terrific goal.

The ball found its way back from the edge of the Hibs box to Beth Dakers, some 30 yards out.

She hit a trademark howitzer off her right boot which easily beat the Hibs keeper.

Three minutes later, Swifts took the lead with a well worked strike.

Beth Allen was played through by Abbie Ferguson’s inch perfect pass before she rounded the keeper and passed the ball intointo the empty net.

Hibs again came back strongly and, despite chances to Leah Sidey and Bernie Young for Swifts, it was the home team who grabbed an equaliser from a corner with minutes to go.

The final score of 2-2 provided a well earned point for both teams who battled hard in the sun.
