Whipround raises £600
A DUNDEE-based factory has donated £600 towards a local woman’s life saving cancer treatment.
Tr a c ey B u r k e , from Ardler, was diagnosed with cervical cancer three years ago at the age of 27.
Her husband Greg set up a fundraising drive on May 13 in a bid to raise cash to send her abroad for immunotherapy costing £90k – with a £70k deposit needed.
A fundraising page now sits at more than £88,000, despite only running for a number of weeks.
Now, workers atTokheim – based at the city’s West Pitkerro Industrial Estate – have held a whipround for the 30-year-old.
The workers were able to donate £600 towards the treatment.
