XPLORE Dundee has received a highly commended certificate at the 2018 Scottish Transport Awards for its driver training scheme.

The bus operator won praise during a ceremony in Glasgow, which celebrated Scotland’s public transport industry.

The company’s three driver trainers – Willie Crosbie, Jonathan Eggleton and Ann Carty, pictured – were shortlisted for their work helping to train mobility scooter and electric wheelchair users to board buses easily and safely.

Christine McGlasson, Xplore’s managing director, said: “We’re really proud of our trainers and I want to congratulate them for this award. They often go the extra mile to make sure that everyone has access to bus travel in our city, and I’m very glad their hard work has been recognised.”
