Fifty years of Junior Showtime

BORN in the Overgate and brought up in city orphanages, Margaret Mather, 80, establishe­d Dundee Junior Showtime in 1968. Down the decades she has taught thousands of local kids to sing, dance and enjoy musical theatre.

The theatre group recently celebrated 50 years, and was the first youth theatre of its kind in the city.

Junior Showtime has contribute­d to the happiness of local children for decades and its popularity and presence in the city is evident by the hundreds of children who have taken part.
