Ferry deli will shut up shop

-

AN award-winning delicatessen will close one of its Dundee stores next month.

Gazeley’s cited current market conditions as the reason behind the closure of its store on Brook Street, Broughty Ferry.

The premises will close next month. The company’s shop on Castle Street, in the city centre, will continue trading as normal.

In a notice posted online and in store, the company said: “Gazeley’s Delicatessen Limited regrets to announce that this store will cease trading with effect from 4pm on Saturday February 2.

“We would like to take the opportunity to thank our wonderful customers for loyalty support and inspiring us over the years.”

The company was started in 2013 when Mike Gazeley took over the former McLeish’s fishmonger.

Last year the stores won Fishmonger of the Year at the Scottish Independent Retail Awards.
