Museum insight
MONTROSE Natural History and Antiquarian Society’s first meeting of 2019, in the town museum, was hosted by staff Dr John Johnson, Linda Fraser and Caroline Taylor.
They gave a presentation on the history of the body, established in 1836, and an insight into the early days of the museum which was created by the society. Many of the museum’s hidden gems were on show.
The society’s next meeting will take place at the museum on Tuesday February 12 at 7.30pm when Fred Powada will be the guest speaker on the subject of the Devensian Ice Age and Mons Graupius.
