Company hasn’t listened to local people’s concerns
I AGREE with Councillor Fraser Macpherson regarding his comments about Xplore Dundee.
They don’t seem to listen to the public about buses.
I attended a meeting in November called by Dundee Pensioners’ Forum about the changes to the services and routes.
Christine McGlasson and another person were there for Xplore Dundee, answering questions. There was a letter given out about the changes to some services, and there were a lot of questions asked.
The same letter was issued in December and there was not one change to it.
It was issued at the bus shop on Commercial Street.
I have been to see two councillors about the number 9 and 10 bus. The new route is going to miss out central and northern Charleston, forcing the people who stay in the area to walk a lot further to the bus stops.
There is sheltered housing in the area and a lot of pensioners.
I do not think the changes are very fair on the public.
