Laura leads as Hawks record great results
DUNDEE Hawkhill Harriers are celebrating a great weekend.
Laura Muir began it by anchoring Britain to victory in the Great Stirling Cross-Country mixed relay.
The 25-year-old ran four minutes 38 seconds for the final kilometre as GB finished in 17 minutes 36 seconds.
Fellow-Hawk Kristian Jones was 12th overall in the senior men’s event and third of the six Brits.
Another Hawk, James Donald, was 25th in the senior race representing Scottish Students as an U/20. He was second of the Scots U20s and fifth overall U/20.
At the Inter-Districts 5km, also in Stirling, U/17 Kristof Hornyik bagged bronze in his age group with Ryan Donald ninth and Cameron Sale 22nd.
Kristof and Ryan also counted in the top six for the East to get team silver.
U/15s Laurence Petty, Tejay Scott and Ryan Smith, competing in the Inter-Districts 4km, also ran well for 19th, 31st and 34th overall.
